Flavors of dark chocolate, French roast, duck confit, and olive tapenade temper the exuberant fruit notes on the palate. The finish exhibits both richness and purity, showcasing an opulent mid-palate that is focused with tannins reminiscent of well-worn leather.
Aged for 22 months in 225L French oak barrels: 30% new, 70% used. Bottled unfiltered.
Five-day cold soak with daily foot treading. Fermented with 10% whole clusters. Daily delestages early on, later moving to pump-overs. 2-week total maceration.
