92% Syrah, 5% Roussanne, 3% Grenache
The dark and mysterious 2017 Syrah offers blackberry, nori, seared ribeye, and leather notes on the powerful nose. Flavors of dark chocolate, rolling tobacco, hoisin, and olallieberry provide a dense mouthfeel on the midpalate. The finish is both hedonistic yet refined — the perfect pairing for cool nights and hearty foods.
Aged for 22 months in 225L French and Hungarian oak barrels: 35% new, 65% used. Bottled unfiltered.
Five-day cold soak with daily foot treading. Fermented with 10% whole clusters. Daily delestages early on, later moving to pump-overs. 2-week total maceration.
