50% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah, 5% Cinsaut, 5% Counoise
Do not be fooled by this wine’s blue-collar namesake, as it is pure sophistication this vintage. It has aromas of leather-bound journals, blueberries and pipe smoke. It’s dense and rich, with a sappy, fruit-filled mid-palate and a long silky finish. The Ditch Digger may have hard worn hands, but they roll up the sleeves of a fine suede jacket.
