70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc
The most complex and ageable vintage of Mother of Exiles we’ve ever made, this powerhouse offers a hypnotic nose filled with violets, red currant, dusty leather, black cherry, oolong tea, and cigar box. The palate is overflowing with flavors of plum, olallieberry, nutmeg, clove, seared ribeye, and Pamplona chorizo. It fills the mid-palate with an elegance that can only be likened to the texture of a silk scarf, yet it finishes with crunchy tannins that will help this beauty lay down for a decade or more – but why wait?
Aged for 22 months in 225L French oak barrels: 68% new, 32% used. Bottled unfiltered.
Once daily delestages with ice during five-day cold soak, then feral fermented with once daily pump-overs. Fermented 100% de-stemmed
