— This wine is part of the 2013 Dirt Worshipper Trifecta —
With the fantastic 2013 vintage, we endeavored on an aging vessel trial with the Dirt Worshipper that took us on a journey that was a little unexpected but provided us with 3 very different and delicious wines. This original version of the 2013 Dirt Worshipper has simply been cellar aged since its original bottling in 2015.

2019 Updated tasting notes:Wow, just Wow. An explosion of violets, mesquite, seared red meat, and white pepper introduce this hedonistic beast. The palate is filled with savory flavors of blackberry, sassafras, wild herbs and black anise. This finish has awesome texture that is supported with velvety tannins and flavors that last and last. This bad boy just screams for a bone-in tomahawk ribeye, Santa Maria style tri tip or a down home beef stew.  For those non carnivores – a seared Portobello mushroom will do the trick.

Original Release:
As this wine unfolds, the nose is packed with seared blackberries, gardenia, olive tapenade, white pepper and spent campfire. The palate evolves from blueberries and violets to smoked meats and rolling tobacco – changing with every sip you take. The finish lingers like the still of a summer night, becoming denser, richer and more intense as it passes.
