2023 Dirt Worshipper

2023 Dirt Worshipper

93% Syrah, 6% Petit Verdot, 1% Graciano

This vintage produced the most fragrant aromatics, explosive flavor, and exquisite balance. The non-fruit aromas start with freshly ground Herbs de Provence, chapparal and black licorice, which quickly give way to plum sauce, blackberry coulis and a hint of gameWaves of crème de cassis and fruit cake saturate the palate, but the freshness of the acidity and spice notes keep it balanced and complexLong and savory on the finish, the tannins are so polished and preciseIt’s drinking amazingly right now but will only get better with time; Syrah might be the most underrated varietal out there.  Pair with garlic and rosemary lamb chops, coffee rubbed rib eye or braised beef mole tacos.
